Pigmented Lesions Removal
Laser removal of pigmented lesions such as melasma, freckles, post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, to name a few.
How it works:
Hyperpigmentary disorders, such as melasma, freckles, moles and post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), etc can cause significant social and emotional distress to many people. With the advent of laser technology, the treatment options have increased, especially for deeper melasma.
Important Points:
Depending on individual cases, laser can be combined with topical treatments, oral therapy, chemical peels, etc.
The machine emits a laser beam that is specifically absorbed by the pigmented lesion and destroys it into smaller particles which are easier to process and remove from the body.
Number of sessions depend on the depth of the lesion and other concurrent treatments.
Most skin types can be treated, except very dark ones. People with tanned skin should wait until their tan fades.
Skin is irritated for about 1 week after the session, and good sun protection must be practiced.
